On Saturday, 8th November, the 3rd year secondary school students began their Erasmus trip to Lanzarote. 9 November in Lanzarote. We visited the beautiful La Concha beach. Swimming and games with classmates. In the afternoon, we walked along the promenade to San José Castle and San Ginés Church. 10 November. Lanzarote. Erasmus AGE. Opening ceremony and official welcome at IES Teguise. Each participating country planted a tree, and the AGE school held an exhibition on‘Arduino and gardens.’ Pablo Rodríguez, a 4th-year secondary school student, explained how this project works. 11 November, Lanzarote Erasmus AGE. This Tuesday we continued with our learning and work on the project. We visited the agro-industrial complex in Teguise. 13 November. Lanzarote, Erasmus. Today, Thursday, we had to stay at the hotel due to the storm and the recommendations of the authorities. After a good breakfast, we played games with our Greek classmates and worked in groups of three to create an article to upload to eTwinning. At 2 p.m., the storm subsided and we went out to eat and take a walk. We were able to resume our activities by visiting Timanfaya, the National Park located on this island. Activities aimed at promoting historical and natural heritage. We continued in La Geria, studying the unique cultivation and production systems at the El Grifo winery. Grapes in holes, soils covered with picón and protected from the wind by walls. A group of Spanish students is building garden beds in their schoolyard to plant various plants. Later, they will use Arduino and Scratch programming to create an automated watering system. The students are enjoying themselves while learning how to construct the garden beds and working together in a spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
